Life was a lot harder than what it was supposed to be for Molly Dixon. The only person willing to help her was her friend Lara, until she met another that would teach her how to channel her inner demons. Molly is a force to be reckoned with and refuses to be a victim again. Now years later Molly is in a relationship with a man, a good man, but he knows nothing about her past. Joshua sees the physical scars on Molly’s body but knows not to question her because Molly’s walls go up even higher when she’s backed in a corner. Their relationship starts to unravel when Molly’s called back to New Orleans to see Lara and suddenly Molly’s demons can no longer stay in the past. Joshua finds out things about Molly that threaten whether they can remain together. Now Joshua is in a race against time not only to save his relationship that he might have ruined but to save the one woman he has loved.
Hit Girl is an action packed, sexually fueled story of revenge, love and redemption. Tia Louise is able to pull the reader in with the first chapter and never let them go. Molly is the tortured warrior that is a true survivor. Joshua seems like the supportive boyfriend, which he is, but he is also just as much a survivor as Molly only in a different way. With an array of supporting characters, some of which made me laugh out loud and others that made me cringe, I couldn’t help but want to continue reading to see who else was going to show up on the next street corner of New Orleans. Of course, there is some tough subject matter in this story, but it is important that these things are brought to light and not swept under the rug for society to pretend they don’t exist, Tia Louise did an excellent job in doing this. I truly enjoyed reading Hit Girl and highly recommend this as a suspense story with romantic overtures. I give Hit Girl 5 glowing STARS!!!!
