One minute Ryker is loading Vanessa into the car to get her to the hospital. Time to have their baby.Then nothing only screams and the smell of blood and total blackness consumes him. Semi conscious Ryker hears everything but can't make his mouth or body obey him.Kade is there talking to him telling him some of what happened but holding back most. He tell's him to get better or Kat will kill him.When he hears Kats name he worries about her and his girls.Then blackness takes over again.
Kat is trying to make sense of the situation that has enveloped her life,surrounded by dead people and destruction of parts of her home. She worries about Ryker if he is going to survive. She's pregnant and due very soon,with her father,Bear and Kade she has a great support crew,but soon she loses Kade when they argue over Vanessa and Rykers baby boy. No one is sure he is Rykers but Kat dosen't care he is a baby and needs to be cuddled and loved.
Surviving is all Ryker wants ,he has his girls and Kat to think of and with the shadow of doubt about the baby boy being his or not has put Kat in defensive mode and she won't back down.Kat is willing to do what ever she can for the wee boy,he has no one to take care of him and she's elected her self caregiver.
Will Ryker and Kat get forever.Forgetting the past and moving forward with their family.Can all involved find a way to embrace the baby boy,with Kats determination she won't give them a choice.
Bink Cummings hit a home run with this story it rounded out the whole series.
Giving it a great finish for Kat and Ryker. It was an emotional roller coaster but well worth the ride.
