Because of Liam is the follow up novel to Because of Logan by Erica Alexander. River thinks she’s pulling a prank on her sister’s boyfriendLogan, when she dumps a drink over him in his driveway. Turns out it was his brother Liam, who is none too impressed with her little stunt. Liam has just recently returned from the marines and is doing everything he can to readjust to civilian life. River has been a shell of herself the last year after experiencing an abusive attack that she can’t remember. After their initial encounter the two use every situation they are in together to bug/annoy each other with a whole lot of sexual tension at the root. I loved the way their relationship progressed. It was fun, hot and real. And I also have to mention that River’s mother, who is yes a minor character, is hilarious and just makes everything funnier. This was a great romcom read touching on some serious situations people are faced with in everyday life.
Erica Alexander has been a storyteller her entire life. If she’s not writing stories, she’s daydreaming them. Which has gotten her in trouble once or twice. She has an inclination to use sarcasm and she can make anything that comes out of her mouth, sound dirty. It’s a gift.
When Erica is not writing, reading or daydreaming new stories, she enjoys baking, looking up pictures of hot guys on Pinterest (for research of course) and commiserating with friends over their mutual hatred of laundry.
Erica’s life goals are: to make sure her family is happy and healthy, bring to life all the stories in her head, visit Australia and jump off a plane. Preferably with a parachute.
Erica has degrees in Communications and Computer Science and she loves history, all things Native American, and anything that’s off the beaten path and weird.
