This book was not what I was expecting but in a completely good way. The blurb really doesn’t do it justice. Mr. Smith bursts into Madison’s life and tells her she is chosen. She is a romance author who then becomes “The Chronicler” for an order that destroys supernatural creatures. She becomes the go to person for all past information and and she is to record all future info and missions the order carries out. Angie Martin gives a fun twist to the supernatural that keeps you completely interested, along with a couple of chuckles regarding certain aspects of popular culture (which I’m not going to spoil here) and something I was totally not expecting. And talk about a cliffhanger! It makes me really excited to see what will happen in book 2!

My aunt introduced me to Stephen King and a little book called Christine in eighth grade, and my life was never the same.
