If you are looking to read a new series I have just the one for you. Treachery by Lily White is book one in her new Antihero Inferno series. There are nine books in this series each one around a different member of the Inferno, a group of men that play hard and play to win. I must admit this is a book like none that I have read before. It is not a quick read, but it is so worth it. The story is just interesting and well written, and I couldn’t put it down. Tanner Caine is a jerk from page one and only gets worse as the story goes on, but my goodness is, he a wonderful, gorgeous, protective jerk. The only and I mean only thing I did not like about this book is that the characters all went to Yale university and if it says Yale once in the story it says it at least 1,000 times. I could just about predict when it would come up. That being said, I loved the book and can’t wait to read about Gabriel Dane AKA Fraud. This book is due out in June of this year!!! I would give this book 9-stars but alas can only give it 5.
Luca Baily just wanted to fly under the radar and finish law school at Yale and start her career and make her parents proud. Little did Luca know but with the Inferno on campus that was not possible. The one night that Luca goes to a party with her roommate Everly, Luca catches the attention of Inferno’s ringleader Tanner Caine AKA Treachery. Now with the obvious hate pouring off him, Luca can’t get far enough away or hide anywhere on campus without coming face to face with Tanner. Years later and Tanner seems hell bent on continuing to make Luca’s life miserable when he once again shows up and offers her a deal. If Tanner grants Luca a favor, then she must return that favor whenever and with whatever he wants. Luca refuses to play Tanner’s game, but it seems that Tanner isn’t the only one that wants to play with Luca. Now Luca’s life is in danger and she just might need the Inferno’s help especially the help that only someone as treacherous as Tanner can offer.
