I loved this book. The Triple Threat is book one in the Dayton Valley series and it’s a doozy. The story has a slow burn romance that you can just envision yourself being a part of. The characters are great, and I loved that the MFC has a brother that is so nonchalant about her. Most books have big brothers that will kill anyone that messes with their sister but in reality, life just instant like that. Ellie’s brother Carter can barely stand to be in the same room with her and their interactions were funny. Of course, I loved the cra-cra twin Aunties that made me laugh out loud with their antics. Hunter Delaney is a wonderful character that has the typical twenty-six-year-old male mentality that made him realistic. 5-stars for The Triple Threat by Nikki Ashton.

Ellie has a plan to keep her best friend Bronte from making a huge mistake, falling for her brother’s best friend’s dad. Hunter knows that his dad would never have anything to do with Bronte, but he can’t help but love Ellie’s determination on keeping the two apart. Hunter has known Ellie her whole life, but he’s never really seen her until now, and thought of them together is ridiculous. Or is it? Ellie is scared to death of the idea of her and Hunter, but she can’t deny her attraction to him. The town’s Triple Threat has his eye set on Ellie, but can Hunter convince her that she’s not the only one scared and that she is just as much a threat as he is?

MEET NIKKI ASHTON

Nikki lives in Cheshire with her husband, two dogs and lovely mother-in-law who supplies her with endless cups of tea. She writes romance with a touch of humour and lots of love, and hopes that she puts a smile on her reader's faces. Her ambitions of becoming a writer started at the age of 10 when she started writing poetry at school, and was given the honour of reading one of her poems to the rest of her year group (a truly embarrassing experience that she will never forget).
